Blessed To Be a Blessing
It’s a simple command of Jesus: Love God, Love others.
Think back to a time when you were blessed unexpectedly to such an extent that you still remember it today.
For me it was a gift of new tires for our little used brown Toyota Corolla that our family of four used as we planted a new church in Cincinnati. Four tires was beyond our means at the time, and this unexpected gift was a wonderful reminder that God hadn’t forgotten us. It was also a tangible sign of love from the people around us. We went on to build a mega-church that was built on the simple idea of showing love to others in practical ways.
GIVE IT AWAY You have to give away love to be a pipeline for God’s love to flow through you. Even at our lowest financially, emotionally, or spiritually, don’t worry. God will find a way to use our little offering to make a difference.
YOU DIDN’T MISS IT The stream of the power of the Holy Spirit is available at all times to us. It is always flowing by us, in us or through us. Yes, there are probably times when we missed out on opportunities to bless someone else. We can’t look back and say “What if” or “If only?” Those words bring depression, not life. Look forward and say “WHO today do you want me to see, Lord?” “Here I am, use me Lord.”
The commodities we have in life are time, energy, and money. We usually start out in life with more energy, more time and less money. We rarely have all three! What are some ways you can be a blessing to others? It doesn’t have to cost money.
YOU WILL BE BLESSED AS YOU BLESS OTHERS
Did you know that spiritual favor is released in our lives as we bless others? It’s never too late to be part of the future God longs to see. Be a blessing, pass it on, let the fresh flow of God flow in and through you.
