Our Culture
Granite Creek's Unique Culture
Our church family has people from communities of Claremont, Upland, La Verne, Montclair, Pomona, Ontario, San Dimas, Chino, and Rancho Cucamonga.
Our people are kind, generous, artistic, funny, smart, hardworking, outdoorsy and animal lovers.
We are diverse ethnically, socially and economically .
Our kids are in band, sports, chess club and theater!
We like fine art and a good joke.
Some people drink wine & beer which we are ok with, but you can’t drink in the church parking lot, or on the church roof, or anywhere on the campus. It’s in the bylaws.
We value education, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously.
Some people wear shorts and flip flops to church, some wear suits.
Star Wars and Disney are kinda a big deal.
It’s ok if you don’t want to wear a name tag.
We like to eat healthy, but sometimes donuts appear.
We have gluten free communion.
We respect all Christian denominations and traditions, but sometimes we make fun of Christian culture.
Both Republicans and Democrats attend Granite Creek…. We believe that neither party will usher in the Kingdom of God, so we avoid talking politics.
We would rather be outside.
